YoungCapital mounts offensive against the established recruitment order in the UK
Holding company The Works confirms growth ambitions with first UK office
Hoofddorp, 2 September 2021
As of today, recruitment specialist YoungCapital is active in the UK. From its first office in Birmingham, the organisation is focusing on the recruitment of young talent for the UK employment market. In doing so, YoungCapital has forged a unique starting position for itself. Years of investment in an international database of millions of candidates give the company a flying start in the UK, where YoungCapital will serve various sectors. This step is in line with the growth strategy of holding company The Works, which focuses on international expansion.
Ready to conquer the UK
YoungCapital is convinced this is the perfect time to help all of Britain's young people find work. No other player in the UK market focuses specifically on young talent. Ineke Kooistra, CEO of The Works:
"YoungCapital's mission is to get all young people working. That includes the British youngsters as well. Within five years, we want to be a top five player in Europe and for that we also need a strong position in the UK. The opening of our first YoungCapital office in Birmingham is an important first step. After that, we will quickly set our sights on London. We are ready to conquer the whole of the UK."
Database with millions of job seekers
In recent years, holding company The Works has built up a database of millions of young British job seekers through more than 20 international job boards. Thanks to the market data collected, the organisation also knows exactly where the most important growth opportunities lie. This enables YoungCapital to immediately match enthusiastic candidates with interesting employers.
"We couldn't have wished for a better start," says Ineke. "With this step, we immediately show the strength of our company. People as the foundation, tech as the driver, marketing power and entrepreneurship as the growth accelerator. I am convinced that this mix will be our springboard to become one of the top players in the UK in the years to come. Just as we have done in the Netherlands and Germany."
After a successful launch of YoungCapital in Germany, it is once again up to Karin van der Gragt, Growth Director at YoungCapital, to surpass this success with the UK team. A great challenge, in a growth market where more than 1.6 million people already work through recruitment and employment agencies. Karin: "There are all kinds of opportunities to shake up the employment market in the UK as well. Young talent there is eager to work in sectors such as retail, administration, customer service, finance & insurance and logistics. We are simply filling the gap in the market."
Recruitment specialist YoungCapital brings young people and employers together through (part-time) work, so they can help each other grow. They can learn a lot from each other: employers have the experience and the expertise, while young people ask refreshing questions. They are not yet set in their ways and are therefore indispensable to any company that wants to innovate. With an average age of 28, YoungCapital employees are living proof of the impact young people can make.
